Revenue Signal

An observable data point that reliably precedes a revenue outcome — engagement patterns, stakeholder additions, usage changes.

What makes a signal real

A signal is only a signal if it separates outcomes historically. Many tracked indicators correlate with nothing and persist because they were easy to capture.

Test it directly

Take last year's data. Did accounts showing the signal convert or retain at a measurably different rate? If not, stop reporting it.
